DIMITTIS- Latin translation for 'Release' is about having the courage to step up and finally let go of the things that no longer serve us. It was my intention to create something that could tie into my other pieces not only in certain elements on paper but also surrounding the common theme of life and all it that it has to offer. DIMITTIS is about letting of the things that we feel we must stay attached to. Toxic ideals and burdens. To be able to step into your newfound power you must release old ways of thinking.
 
At times we feel inclined to have control over every single aspect of our life, but the reality is that we can't. I'm sure that at you have realized that the things we tend to place stress on, only drives it away for some reason e.g. (Finances, relationships, careers etc.) I's often the indication that we misplaced our priorities and energy instead of letting things flow at its natural pace or time. We must allow ourselves to have trust or faith that things will work out, whilst at least paying attention to what is happening in the now and how does it affect you in that present moment.
 
Perhaps at times we even delay or block ourselves form coming into our power due to being too anxious or afraid because we see a glimpse of what could be. We begin to doubt that something so good could ever happen to us because past experiences.
 
I believe that it's not until we let go of that thought of feeling like we deserve what's meant for us can we truly come into that calling/power. DIMITTIS.
